Hi AUA listserv,

It's super last second - but forwarding this invitation from the Chicago
Food Justice Rhizome Network to engage in local  farm bill advocacy
efforts!
If you are unable to join us tonight, we hope you'll consider plugging into
the next meeting, which will be August 8th! Shoot me an email if you'd
like more info or a calendar invite to remind you.  (see original message
below)

*Sending a quick email to update folks that the first Growing Advocacy Call
will now be happening virtually on zoom! **If you are a farmer, food
distributor, or food retailer who would like to work with other food
justice advocates to raise important farm bill issues to Illinois lawmakers
regarding how our regional food system could be improved, please join us
for this call! *

*Growing Advocacy Call Logistics *
*When:* July 11th from 5-6:30pm
* (that's tonight!) **Where: *On zoom

*Who: *Growers, food distributors, and food retailers (anyone involved in
food access BEFORE the customer)
*What:* learning about ongoing farm bill advocacy opportunities and
splitting up into groups (based on marker bills) to begin planning and
strategizing around specific bills


If you are particularly excited about any of these marker bills (especially
if it stems from direct experience), please consider
joining Growing Advocacy calls to get plugged in!* If you are
interested but unable to join us for the first meeting tonight, please
shoot me an email and let me know which bills you're excited about,* so I
can make sure you get plugged in as efforts evolve. As briefly mentioned
above, these meetings will alternate in person and on zoom, the next
meeting will happen virtually on August 8th from 5-6:30pm.
