We are hosting a Seed Saving and Winter Garden Prep workshop in September, I'm wondering if this would be a qualifying event for your calendar. Harvest time is the best time to think about saving seeds for next year’s garden andand prepping for the winter ahead!

Seth Harper, Manager of Horticulture at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, is coming to our branch to share some tips and answer your questions!

In this workshop, we will go over the types of fruits and seeds, seed dormancies and how to overcome them, genetic factors that need to be understood for seed saving, and basic ideas about end-of-season garden care.
