Hello!
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) works to make Chicago government better and to hold City actors accountable when they break the rules. As you know, OIG is a watchdog for the taxpayers of the City and has jurisdiction to conduct inquiries into most aspects of City government.
As we plan and prioritize our work, it is our highest obligation to direct our attention and resources toward those problems that most impact Chicagoans. To do that, we need to know what Chicagoans think.
Once again, OIG has hit the streets with a series of Listening Tours, visiting CTA stations and other community locations for "person on the street" survey outreach. It is a blank slate approach designed to reach the broadest swath of Chicagoans, reaching across the City's neighborhoods, asking three questions:
* What could Chicago City government do to improve the quality of your life?
* What do you wish you knew more about in Chicago City government?
* What have you seen go wrong in Chicago City government?
We invite you to help by:
* Making the Listening Tour Palm Card available to your community:
Please hit reply, and we would be happy to send you OIG Listening Tour palm cards to make available in your offices (see sample attached).
* Adding an invitation to take the survey to your newsletter, with this easy-to-copy and use information (graphic attached if you share on social media):
The City of Chicago Office of Inspector General (OIG) wants to hear from you! Share your thoughts via the OIG Listening Tours survey on how City government can better serve you. OIG's impact increases exponentially as we engage more people in knowing about our work and informing our priorities. We appreciate your support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Naveen Siddiqui
