This is also a great time to visit the park, we will also take time to observe birds and note our spring migratory visitors. Herons are back, kinglets are passing through, and geese and ducks are well on the way with raising their young.

In other news, our shrub giveaway is underway and neighbors have been receiving beautiful native shrubs. Take a look below at some Red-twigged Dogwood that was planted on the side of a home and that has started to leaf out. If you are a CPS teacher and want some for your school please get in touch.

Below is our list of offerings, they are going fast so if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

If cleaning up is NOT YOUR THING, we have a Community Tree Planting Day on May 10th with Openlands at West Lawn Park with Lee Elementary! Come help plant trees with us that Saturday morning! If you've never planted a tree before, here is your chance!
