Hi AUA!
We know it goes without saying, but we’ll say it anyway: These are hard and
heavy times. We are in awe of the incredible work you are all engaged in
even in the face of callousness and cruelty from those in power. Your work
is vital, but it also comes at a cost—and we want to help fuel your
continued efforts. 💚 As we approach International Workers Day and the
local mass march for Workers and Immigrants happening here in Chicago, we
at *CFPAC* are reflecting on how we can contribute to sustaining this
movement and bringing care and energy to you all.
So, we’re hosting a sort-of-impromptu (read: short notice 😅) hang,
featuring art making, food, and camaraderie on Wednesday, April 30th, from
3-6pm at Industrious Central Loop.
RSVP Here <https://forms.gle/D49wfLCWQGCbhF7A7> by Wednesday, April 30th at
9am. More details below!
If there’s one thing we have deep in our DNA, it’s the idea that there is
significant power in the act of bringing people together, across
ecosystems, to lift each other up, support and fortify our movements,
remind us what we’re fighting for, and find some of the joy and creativity
that is so essential to the world we’re trying to create together.
So, ahead of the *May Day March for Immigrants and Workers
<https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/may-day-protest-rally-immigrant-rights-march-trump-administration-deportations/>,*
we invite you all to join us for a sort-of impromptu (read: short notice
😅) afternoon of art, food, and camaraderie to help all those in this
movement to express yourselves, connect with your people, and strengthen
your resolve for the fight ahead. We know lots of folks will be attending
the march on Thursday, so this is also a great time to talk about
organizing a little food & farm contingent for anyone who feels safe and
able to do so!
