Good afternoon,
My name is Katie Ostrowsky and I am the U.S. Programs intern at the Zakat
Foundation. We are a nonprofit international relief NGO that focuses on
sustainable giving, and I am interested in the extensive and commendable
work Chicago Community Gardens does for food accessibility. Zakat is
looking to expand its outreach on the southside by partnering with your
organization to sponsor a sustainable food production site via a community
garden. I am currently a senior at Loyola's Institute of Environmental
Sustainability, and both Aaron Durnbaugh and Kevin Erickson suggested I
should attempt to reach out to your organization regarding this.
Please let me know if you have the availability to set up an informational
meeting to discuss how Zakat can diversify its sustainable giving by
sponsoring an urban agriculture project. I am available via phone and Zoom.
