[Communications] Revised Timeline for the Conference

Hello all,

Today the Education Committee extended the deadline for *new* RFP's who've
been contacted by many of you for our virtual conference. That deadline is
Jan 30 in order to allow people who've requested more time.  It's looking
good today, we've received some very new proposals.

The original timeline that Amy and others worked on is below.

Please mark your calendar for two dates. One that is certain, on Feb. 2 the
Education committee will meet to consider all RFP's received by 1/22 if
from a returning presenter; 1/29 if the new presenter was recently
contacted by CCGA Education.  An email will go out soon for that Education
meeting.

The coordinating committee needs to convene a special meeting to approve by
motion all or some of the Ed Committee's suggestions. That meeting needs to
be scheduled on or before Jan. 5 which is the date stated in the RFP when
presenters will be notified and congratulated. Who will schedule that
meeting?

Other dates are open to change if necessary, but  If we need we should lock
them in soon.

Here's the original timeline I received from Amy

   - Jan. 22 RFPs due extended to Jan 29 for additional acceptance
   - Jan 30  Any follow up email up with presenters.
   - Feb 2 Tuesday Special meeting of Education Committee to consider RFPs
   -request has been made for 6pm meeting
   - Feb 3-4-5 Special Meeting of the Co-ordinating Committee to approve
   presentations selected by the Ed Committee. Final Time and date TBD
   - *Feb 5 Invitations sent to new presenters (from RFPs received by
   1/22-1/29) This is stated in bold type in the RFP*
   - Feb. 12 Commitments secured for all workshops. A grace period actually
   that may be secured sooner
   - Feb. 19 Announcement of workshops, Keynote, Breakout Sessions,
   Music/art guests, Conference Kits
   - Feb. 19    Registration OPEN
