Conservatory guests will enjoy an awesome assortment of blooms, and their vivid, rich and intense nuances. We will begin to post additional days available for reservations on March 3. Plan Your Visit 12th Annual Bee Forum: Secrets Your Bees Want to Tell You March 14, 21 and 28; 10:30am-12pm We are excited to have Scott Debnam, Dr. Tom Seeley, and Dr. Sean Leonard share online presentations on the topics of honey bee research and its practical application for the beekeeper. Virtual Beekeeping Lecture with Dr. Tammy Horn Potter Wednesday, March 3; 5:30pm-7pm Join us for a virtual presentation and conversation with Dr. Tammy Horn Potter. She will be talking about her book Beeconomy: What Women and Bees Can Teach Us about Local Trade and the Global Market. Register for Beeconomy Lecture Virtual Field Trip for Homeschool Families: Pollination Monday, March 8; 10am-10:45am $5 per family/device Led by a live educator at the Conservatory, explore many interesting examples of how plants and their pollinators co-evolved to perfect the process of pollination that we depend on for our own survival. Appropriate for families with students in preschool-4th grade. This 30-minute tour will include a wealth of information about the plants in the room and how we care for them. Register for Desert House Tour 2nd Wednesday Lecture: Washieka Torres: Food Sovereignty & Disability Wednesday, March 10; 6pm-7pm In partnership with Advocates for Urban Agriculture this lecture by Washieka Torres will speak about the ways in which food sovereignty has implicitly or explicitly excluded people with disabilities and the ways in which we as a community can create a more accessible and equitable food system.
