I agree about looping in the larger working groups and ideally having a motion of support. Can we do it via email if a meeting can’t be arranged soon?

I’d like to suggest a few edits to the survey May drafted. I’ll send those along via this thread this morning. And I will set it up using the template we have from past forms and surveys.

Thanks May!!

Amy

Below is an updated draft of the survey. Please edit as needed. I have a work day at Skinner Park tomorrow ( or rather today ) so will have only limited access to email.

For the Park District community gardens only 2 use fire hydrants and she is trying to help them but apparently the City of Chicago's law department is insisting on liability insurance even though it sits on Park District land. Mainly because the Park District agreement with community gardens is that the Park District assumes no liability,

If possible we could put it on the website to reach additional advocacy even if the particular garden is not affected by water issue with hydrant, we all have an investment in safe water policy in the city.

If we can get a list of community gardens who don't have access to fire hydrants or who don't have a permit this year but did in prior years, I can start to advocate for water access for those immediately even if it's on a temporary basis for this year while working towards a long term policy.
