Because Chicago has enacted a new Composting Ordinance, we are offering a number of workshops relating to that topic, and we encourage those who attend to consider attending at least one of the compost-related workshops. Workshops have just been announced and workshop descriptions are here.

A seed sharing table hosted by U of I Extension Master Gardeners will have hands-on demonstrations on the best way to start seeds and keep them growing.

We are building a picture slideshow of Chicago Community Gardens to be displayed at the CCGA Annual Conference and we’d love to include your pictures. Help us by sending your favorite garden photos, maybe a brief description and the garden name to Erik Hernandez at ccgapictures@gmail.com. We’ll also be collecting pictures at the next CCGA coordinating meeting on February 13th prior to the conference.
