CCGA Resources Committee Spring Vegetable Distributions: Grow On!

5000 vegetable and flower seedlings and 135 community gardens; those are the statistics for this year’s Resources Committee distributions on May 7 and May 14.  The Resources Committee grew the seedlings in the Center for Green Technology greenhouse, and then distributed large “sampler packs” of tomatoes, peppers, herbs, cabbage, kale, lots of flowers; you name it!
Thanks to all the community gardens that participated.  Thanks too to Robert Hart for providing a demonstration on “Building a Better Tomato Cage.”
Simultaneously with the distribution, the Resources Committee sold ironwork that it had obtained from a commercial greenhouse; lots of folks left with shepherd’s hooks and trellises.  All in all, the event was a great success.  See you at the summer perennial distribution!
