CCGA Resources distribution of early spring flowers, onion sets, and seed packets. April 13, 2019
Spring is surely here with daily temperatures inviting us outside and calling us to get our hands deep into that gorgeous soil. After our Chicago winter with too much gloom and bone chilling weather, gardening is just sheer pleasure. Many Chicago Community Gardens are opening soon, holding orientations for new gardeners, and folks are excited with good reason. CCGA Resources will hold its first distribution of 2019 with early spring flowers, onion sets, and seed packets. The first 30 gardens to check in will receive a new shovel, rake, bow saw, or pair of loppers! How’s that for even more excitement. Be there! Saturday April 13 at 9:00 am to register; distribution follows immediately. Registration is still just $5 per community garden. CCGA Resources wants to thank Lowes for selling them new tools at cost so they can go to community gardens. Here is the flyer with all the details.
