Friday, August 19, from 5-9 pm
Garfield Park Conservatory
300 N Central Park Ave, Chicago, IL 60624
CCGA is 10! Join fellow gardeners for an evening of food, music, and fun as we celebrate our collective work in Chicago’s community gardens!
Over the past ten years, Chicago has experienced the incredible growth of numerous community gardens and urban farms. This expansion of community green space is a result of the cooperative efforts and the investment of many, especially YOU – Chicago’s community gardeners.
Please join us at the vibrant and luscious Garfield Park Conservatory as we celebrate our collective work! Revel in nature and connect with friends as you enjoy delicious food, cool drinks, and great music under the mid-August evening sun.
Tickets
Tickets are available on Eventbrite
There is no fee for tickets to the celebration, but donations are appreciated. The suggested donation is $25 for adults and $10 for students (kids under 10 are free). Your donation will help CCGA offset the costs for the event and help fund future educational events and projects for community gardeners.
The Eventbrite donation function only allows for one ticket per donation. So, if you donate for more than one ticket, use the Golden Ticket choice to reserve the additional tickets.
For questions about Eventbrite, tickets, or anything else, please send us an email and we’ll take care of you!
Getting to the Garfield Park Conservatory & Parking
There is free parking available in the Visitor’s Parking Lot just south of the Conservatory entrance, as well as bike corrals and a Divvy bike station in front of the building on Central Park Ave. You can also take the Green Line to the Conservatory stop.
Checking In
Check in will be at the main entrance of the Conservatory. You can provide your emailed ticket with the QR code or check in with your name. There will be signage and volunteers there to help guide you to the celebration!
Each guest will receive a set of ToGoWare bamboo utensils. You can even use them at the event! It’s sturdy and reusable, perfect for picnics, camping and eating on-the-go.
Covid-19 Safety
There will be plenty of space to spread out in the Conservatory, with tables set up outdoors in the beautiful Artists’s Garden (pictured above.) Seating will also be available inside near the food serving area. Masks are not required, but guests are encouraged to use them indoors if that is their preference. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and we will see you again in the gardens. Hopefully one day soon, we won’t have to think about Covid-19!

We’ve created a Trail of Gardens, a photo exhibit showcasing a variety of community gardens. Special thanks to the Resources & Distributions Committee for putting this together!
