Hello to All Gardeners,

Please find below the agenda for the Harvest Soiree, scheduled for Thursday, September 11th, at the Upper Pavilion in Memorial Park. This event is open to all community members—please extend this invitation throughout our community.

Thursday, September 11, 2025

*Event supporting Blue Island Community Gardens (donations are optional and sincerely appreciated)

5:30 pm – Yoga session led by Michelle Bauer of Nourishing Mind, Body, and Soul

6:00 pm – Light refreshments and appetizers served, including:

• Iverson’s mint/lavender lemonade
• Basil and watermelon-infused water
• Mint tea
• A limited selection of other beverages

Activities:

• Gardener’s appetizers
• Guided garden visits
• Photo booth in the gardens
• Bouquet making station featuring arrangements from Bloom Creek Flowers and our community gardens
• Sidewalk chalk and additional crafts available for children

7:00 pm – Dinner will be served, accompanied by acknowledgements and an overview of the Blue Island Community Gardens

• M&R Grilling, presented by Chef Ray Bauer
• Chef Elizabeth Canna
• Chef Joe O’Meara
• Chef Tom Mantel
• Chef Joe Leamanczyk
• Chef Michelle from Council Oak

Additionally, potluck dishes will be provided by our community gardeners and neighbors. Elaine Lentz’s zucchini relish will be a featured this year.

8:00 pm – Dessert and raffles, with gratitude to Elizabeth Canna Pizza for generously donating and preparing 16 raffle gifts
