CCGA distributes 4,000 vegetable seedlings to 101 community gardeners

The CCGA Resources Committee thanks everyone who came to one of the two sites on May 9th and 16th to pick up a boxful (or basketful) of vegetable seedlings to plant in their community gardens. Thanks to generous donations from Westover Farms, Macy’s, the Winnetka Garden Club, and the Contained Garden, we also had over 100 raffle prizes, ranging from beautiful house plants to two-gallon delphiniums, all of which went to lucky winners. Thanks also to the Resources Committee volunteer team (including Austin Green Team members) who grew the seedlings for distribution. See you at the Summer Perennial Distribution!
