CCGA Greenhouses in Operation Now

Austin HS Chicago Greenhouse

Right now, the Resources Committee is growing annuals, tropical plants and succulents in two greenhouses: one at Austin High School and one at the Center for Green Technology. This active group is propagating their stock, and will soon begin to grow spring ephemerals like violas, linaria, and cerinthe. Vegetable seed starting will not begin for most of the things they plan to grow until late March and early April.

One of the special items under cultivation now are the plants to be potted up as centerpieces for the CCGA Annual Conference on March 5th.
